Why do the pols keep chipping away at our rights and privacy.

Why is it always something that takes away, and never provides for more rights and more freedom?

Did you see the follow-up article? It only took 8 hours of complaints for him to flip his stance. This will bear watching,

CNET is a tech journal. But sotpping the pols doesnt seem to deter them, they keep chipping away, it is death by mosquito bites.

Yeah, well this time the mosquito was a malaria carrier. My family is law enforcement and we don't agree with the no warrant legislation. That's just begging for misuse and abuse.

Shit... I knew this would happen as soon as we started having an office of Homeland Security. I still think the whole 9/11 thing, if our own government didn't instigate it, they certainly looked the other way. Fear is a great way to control people. A majority of the populace will give away their rights in order to be "protected". And I realize that my even posting this comment triggers something somewhere that may open me up to scrutiny. Fortunately, I am obsessed with the world of Harry Potter and talk to an invisible companion, so I am quite obviously a nutter.

And I dress funny.....

The best way to create fear is....well, ask an old russian immigrant.

The majority of our population is uneducated idiots, many with a lowest common denominator of laziness.

You and I are both on list someplace. But the fun part is they don't know what to do with me. The cross dressing messes with their heads. ;)

Just to make you more paranoid, you may want to muffle your smart phone if you own one. =)
21st-Nov-2012 07:57 pm (UTC)
I don't have one. Just a regular cell phone with no bangs or whistles.

I read in Wired earlier this year that there's a huge data center being built in Utah. If I remember correctly, the NSA is building it, which means it's for spying on Americans. And now we get this bill, that makes it okay for the data center to do what it was built to do.
21st-Nov-2012 06:36 pm (UTC)
For the last 10 years the big floos send files to HSA data centers for analysis. This is nothing new. There are already data centers. We pay for our own demise because we are incapable of voting for real change instead of an illusion of change.

We're fighting against this in the UK too.
21st-Nov-2012 07:02 pm (UTC)
Would people consider me crazy if I started beleiving in conspiracy theory? Because the chipping away is unrelenting and constant and overt and secretive.
21st-Nov-2012 08:03 pm (UTC)
Paranoia is merely heightened awareness. Pay attention to the things that the government MOCKS... such as conspiracy theories. They know that people are sheep, and if they mock it, people will think "Oh, they are making fun of this, so it must be stupid; I'd better not pay it any mind or they will think I'm stupid, too." Herd mentality. The government KNOWS that if they go to a lot of trouble to disprove something, people will start paying attention to it. So they mock it and treat it as nothing.

You are not helping. LOL.

Stock up on ammo and canned peaches.
21st-Nov-2012 08:05 pm (UTC)
Well, some conspiracies aren't theories anymore. All it takes is a pair of open eyes and you can't really miss it. Of course, the danger is then, that once you enter the rabbit hole, there are sooooooo many forks and turns, you'll go deeper and deeper. :P

The chipping away is unrelenting because most sheople don't notice how their freedoms are chipped away bit by bit. Instead of striving to grow spiritually (which is pretty much the ONLY reason we are on this planet in this life, at least the vast majority of us), they strive to be the greater king of consumerism, which is essentially one aspect of evil. Would anyone believe it? Most won't. Most won't even listen because they're too busy to watch the next soap and shop for the latest gadget and trendiest designer wear. *shrugs*

Actually that solution is part of a conspiracy theory I read....

Agree totally.

Did you expect anything different? Just be prepared to grab your ankles, we're going to get it in the ass for the foreseeable future. You know I'm as paranoid as you are. I think I might need a tin foil hat and to go bury my cell phone in the back yard. As for my emails, I'm just going to make them more interesting, make them wonder, or at least keep them amused. LOLOLOLO
22nd-Nov-2012 03:17 am (UTC)
Yeah, need to learn origami because I want a really NICE tinfoil hat.
22nd-Nov-2012 05:45 am (UTC)
Outrage!
22nd-Nov-2012 06:40 pm (UTC)
I'm so glad I grew up in a Communist country. I'm perfectly used to having no privacy. Whenever we had something interesting to say, we went to the bathroom and let the water run.
22nd-Nov-2012 06:52 pm (UTC)
LOL

When I want a private conversation, I turn of the electronics and go outside.
