I have to go to the doc tomorrow for annual exam.  I hate doctors.

Bold the ones you have and use at least once a year, italicize the ones you have and don't use, strike through the ones you have had but got rid of. (reduce fonting of stuff I do not own and never have owned)

wonder how many pasta machines, breadmakers, juicers, blenders, deep fat fryers, egg boilers, melon ballers, sandwich makers, pastry brushes, cheese boards, cheese knives, electric woks (broke from use, now have electric dutch oven! luves ), miniature salad spinners, griddle pans, meat thermometers, jam funnels, filleting knives, egg poachers, cake stands, garlic crushers, martini glasses, tea strainers, bamboo steamers, pizza stones, coffee grinders (this is decorative), milk frothers(not sure I can say I have one as part of  gifted expresso machine?), piping bags, banana stands, fluted pastry wheels(not used because its in a shadow box as art), tagine dishes (WTF is this?), conical strainers, rice cookers, steam cookers, pressure cookers, slow cookers, spaetzle makers, cookie presses, gravy strainers, double boilers (bains marie), sukiyaki stoves, ice cream makers, fondue sets, healthy-grills, home smokers, tempura sets(?), tortilla presses, electric whisks, cherry stoners, sugar thermometers (I am assuming this is a candy thermometer), food processors, bacon presses, bacon slicers, mouli mills, cake testers, pestle-and-mortars, and sets of kebab skewers languish dustily at the back of the nation's cupboards.

Notice I have no strike throughs.  =)  Frankly, I boil my eggs in a pot using a flawless method.  I dont need a special cooker for eggs. (or rice, or steamers....)  I do have mutli functional cook ware that allows me to steam and boil, very handy!

I have a steamer, use it for making hard boiled eggs for devilled eggs all the time. A hand mixer, and a candy themoster. The candy themoster is just for making butterbeer properly.

What recipe do you use for Butterbeer?

The one that is supposidly the same as Orlando's BB. Requires butter, brown sugar, cooking to a specific temp, then adding rum extract and cream soda. I'm however rather partial to the very simple Cream Soda + Butterscotch snops recipe as well.

I don't know what some of these are either. Tangine dish?

I have to go for blood tests Wednesday. 24 hours of no food. I feel sulky. Then the doctor's next Tuesday. X^I So I sympathise. My doctor is super nice. But I still hate it.

Likewise - when I saw 'egg boiler' I thought, "Isn't that just a saucepan?"

This list makes me feel very culinarily inadequate - I have a food processor and a banana hook (though not sure this is what is meant as it's for storage not cooking) and various baking dishes, but most are in a box in the loft pending me having my own place again.

However, I do know what a tagine dish is! It's for making a Moroccan sort of stew (also called tagine) - it has a conical lid so that the steam condenses and runs back down, keeping the moisture in. I was tempted to buy one when I was in Morocco a few years back, but figured I'd rarely use it and it would end up being a bit of a traveller pose, so I didn't. Since then they seem to have migrated to upmarket shops here.

See for example

I use my crock pot as often in the summer to "not heat up the kitchen" to cook a big meal as I do in the winter. I use my stand mixer, wore out my electric griddle pan (and never found another,) use the ice cream maker for special times, broke two banana stands and eventually will get another -- but the list is filled with weird stuff I have never seen/had/wanted.
The weird kitchen thing NOT on the list that we do use quite often is our whipped cream maker.
