death eater1
I wonder how much of my tax dollars went to this venture.

If I ever see one, it's going to get smashed flat, along with the chip.  Call me paranoid, but it has way more applications than the altruistic one stated.  Bunch of geeky engineers..   I hope my cat doesn't eat one.  But oooh think of the blackmail potential.

This may inspire a fanfic.  We all know how Ron felt about spiders.

That's a horror movie idea right there. Cyborg roaches. As if we don't have enough problems killing the fuckers.

The only thing worse than cyborg roaches is cyborg mosquitos.

Normally, I escort bugs outside with a special bugcatching device. The exceptions are mosquitoes (which I smack with my bare hands and gleefully celebrate their demise) and cockroaches, which I am afraid would find their way back in if I let them live. This just gives me one more reason to be a part-time homicidal maniac.

I catch bugs/geckos using the carboard and container method and escort them out the door.

Roaches get crunched. Mosquitos die.

In the grand sceme of things I have yet to come up with a purpose for mosquitos. At least roaches eat dead things. At least the roaches are not out to get me.

Good lord, what a horrific use of our hard-earned cash. I recently read about how drones are getting tinier and tinier; I can't wait for the day they start lurking outside people's windows collecting evidence. *sigh* Life was so much easier when it was just Spy vs Spy.

Hands you an effing shoe/hammer/brick. Smash those little spies!
Could we use our tax dollars to cure disease or something?

Interesting about the spider toxin. Good to exploit another possible pathway instead of just that involving NO.

I wonder if any of the other side effects have possible applications...

Can't wait to see the Orkin commercials for these.
